Ortega y Gasset Street is located near paseo de la Castellana and is dedicated in memory of José Ortega y Gasset, the prominent Madrilian philosopher of the 20th century. Here you will find the Plaza del Marqués de Salamanca, who gives name to the district of Salamanca. This square was built by Jerónimo Suñol and it was inaugurated commemorating the King Alfonso XIII Oath. Next to this square you will see the Jardines de María Eva Duarte de Perón, wife of Juan Domingo Perón who was the President of Argentina.
