One more year, summer ends and one of the most awaited celebrations arrives: Oktoberfest.
Oktoberfest, the beer festival, is the most important celebration in Germany. The duration of this festivity is between 16 and 18 days and it receives a great number of visitors –between six and seven million- coming from different places around the world.
This celebration took place for the first time in 1810 when Prince Ludwig I married Therese of Saxony-Hildburghausen and it has never stopped becoming greater.
Since a long time ago this traditional German celebration has been exported to countries like Spain, where it already counts with loyal followers.
If you want to know first-hand this festival, and especially if you like beer, do not miss the Oktoberfest of Madrid. This year it celebrates its fifth anniversary and it will take place from the 27th to the 29th September at WiZink Center, at the very heart of Madrid. Live music, Bavarian gastronomy, beer…, a perfect plan before cold arrives.
