Puente de Toledo

Puente de Toledo
  • Extended Route 1: Historical Madrid

A Baroque style bridge over the Manzanares River. Finished by Pedro de Ribera, the Puente de Toledo was built between 1719 and 1724. It includes nine half-point spans with granite ashlars. The work carried out during the period between 1972 and 1974 on the M-30, in the stretch between the Segovia and Toledo bridges, included the restructuring of the Puente de Toledo bridge into two curving parallel footbridges, designed by Fernández Casado, converting it into a pedestrian street with no access to traffic.
