All big cities have a lot of street markets of food, clothes and second-hand stuff. Do you want to know our favorite ones? Get on Madrid City Tour official tourist bus and we will take you to the best ones while you enjoy a comfortable panoramic visit of the city.

Mercado de Motores is located in Museo del Ferrocarril of Casa de Campo the second weekend of the month. It is an unusual market where you will find stands with clothes and vintage decoration stuff surrounded by old trains and locomotives. Many people considers this market as the Spanish version of London’s Camden Market. To get to this place, get off at the stop 20 of the Historical Madrid route. Getting to this market is only within 10 minutes’ walking distance of this stop.

Rastro is one of the most typical markets in the city and is placed in the historical center. It opens every Sunday and festivities and has more than 1,400 stands where you can find all kind of items that you can imagine: clothes, decoration, furniture, books, CD’s…You will be able to get to this market from the stop 13 of the Historical Madrid tour.

Apart from these options, which are traditional street markets, Madrid has other markets specialized on a particular topic. Nómada Market is concretely an independent design fair, where emerging designers come together to sell their products and engage with other design professionals. It’s only celebrated four times a year and it’s celebrated in an attic of Chamartín Station. The nearest stop to this place is the 6.3 of the route Extended Modern Madrid. We advise you to check the schedules of this route here, as they are special.

If you visit Madrid, don’t miss the opportunity to find unique items on one of these markets. They won’t disappoint you!
